KB’s Story: Convicted as a 17 year old, KB served the last 33 years in the state prison. On re-sentencing, he was released without probation. KB had a high school diploma but little work force experience. REAP assisted in job interview skills, workforce development, appropriate work clothing and some required safety equipment. We directed him to a cooperating employer who has already rewarded KB with several pay increases because of his work ethic. Recently, he was assigned to an out of town job because he evidenced strong work habits, leadership skills and responsibilities.
