VL is a 2021 graduate of the REAP Women’s Program. She was an active participant in REAP that took advantage of the opportunity to rebuild her life and live independently in the community. VL had challenges with her hearing and English as a second language. She did not allow that to prevent her from her personal growth while participating in the program. She saved her money for her new life and moved into the community financially stable. She accepted a communal living arrangement as her first home after the program. She truly has taken life, one step at a time. VL continues to save for the life she would like to have in the future. After graduation, VL continued to embrace the REAP sisterhood. She often spends time with other REAP graduates by going shopping and and example to other REAP participants that you can live independently after incarceration and have a great life!
